"My name is Olga, and I am 11 years old. I lived on the right bank of the Dnipro in the Kherson region. On the morning of February 24, we woke up to explosions on the other bank, and that's how I found out that the war had started. I felt fear because we didn't know what would happen next.A few weeks later, Russian soldiers entered our village. They came in armored personnel carriers and asked everyone for their passports. When my father went to them, I was afraid that something bad might happen to him, but everything turned out fine. For the next 7 months, they lived next door to us and hired men to dig trenches.November 9 is a special day for me. On this day, we were liberated by Ukraine. We felt happiness and relief, and it boosted our fighting spirit. I really hope to return home, so I am eagerly looking forward to Victory."
